Schedule Changes Announced for Men’s and Women’s Tennis

ANDERSON, S.C. - Preparing for the inclement weather scheduled to hit the Carolinas, Anderson University men's and women's tennis coach Joey Eskridge has announced Tuesday's home opener against Southern Wesleyan has been moved to this Saturday with both matches slated to begin at 11 a.m.

With inclement weather also forecasted on Sunday, a decision for the women's tennis match at Columbia College has yet to be determined. Be sure to stay tuned to AUTrojans.com for further details.

Saturday's matches will mark the first time the programs have opened in January due to new legislation passed in early January. The new legislation passed by the NCAA allows Division II schools to start spring seasons on the Friday prior to Feb. 1 when that date falls on a Saturday, Sunday or Monday.

In addition to the home opener being moved to Saturday, Eskridge also announced that the Feb. 28 matches against Lenoir-Rhyne have been moved to April 8 with a 3 p.m. start time. Those matches are slated to be the teams' final conference contests of the season.
