Trojans Cruise Past Limestone; 77-68

ANDERSON, S.C. – Paced by graduate Brittney Stafford's team-high 17 points, Anderson (18-5, 10-5 SAC) cruised to a victory over South Atlantic Conference opponent Limestone (9-14, 3-12 SAC), 77-68, on Wednesday evening at the Abney Athletic Center.  

"Congratulations to Tex on reaching 1000 points," said head coach Jonathon Barbaree. "I know it's been a personal goal of hers to reach that mark this season and she's worked so hard to accomplish it."

"It was good to get to on the winning side of things tonight," stated Barbaree. "Also, I enjoyed seeing everyone get in tonight."

AU's Stafford hit a layup with 41 seconds on the clock to reach the 1000 career point milestone. The native of Braunfels, Texas also grabbed six rebounds and was credited with two steals. Senior Zamiya Passmore netted 14 points and dished out seven assists. All 13 Trojans saw playing time with 11-of-13 scoring at least two points.

Limestone's Kalisha Hill scored a game-high 25 points and pulled down a game-high 13 rebounds. LU's Reagan Kargo and Destiny Jackson each scored 11 points for the Saints.

Anderson will travel to Carson-Newman on Saturday to begin a three-game road stretch. Tip-off is slated for 2pm in Jefferson City, Tenn.
