ANDERSON, S.C. – Anderson women's tennis (4-0) defeated nonconference opponent USC Sumter, 7-0, on Friday afternoon at the AU Tennis Complex.

Anderson won the opening doubles point with the No. 1 (Katie Robeson and Gigi Sompayrac) winning 6-4 while No. 2 duo (Alex Braithwaite and Grace Weaver winning, 6-1, to earn the opening point.

In singles play, the Trojans won all six matches. Valentina Borda won, 6-1,6-2, Sompayrac defeated her opponent, 6-1, 6-0. Elena Ronconi and Ariana Daducia did not drop a set winning, 6-0,6-0. The final two spots were walk overs.

The Trojans return to action on Feb. 17th when it travels to nonconference foe Erskine. First-serve is slated for 1 pm.
