BOSTON, Mass. -- Six student-athletes represented Anderson in Boston this weekend, competing in the David Hemery Valentine Invitational hosted by Boston University. Four Trojans notched personal bests on the weekend, while two recorded scores to break program records.
Junior Lacey Boozer (Simpsonville, S.C.) broke her own AU school record with a personal best 57.76 400-meter dash. Sophomore Elliot Dotson (Greenville, S.C.) broke his standing Anderson record, running a 4:07.31 mile
In the women's 800-meter, sophomore Emma Whitaker (Inman, S.C.) ran a 2:18.59 indoor personal record, followed by senior Brianna Quartararo (Port Jefferson station, N.Y.) with a 2:20.68 mark. Freshman Kennedy Roush (Greenville, S.C.) also recorded a personal best, running for 17:40.32 in the women's 5000-meter. Sophomore Adam Trusty (Greer, S.C.) ran for a 1:56.12 mark in the men's 800-meter run.
The Trojans will travel to Columbia, S.C. next weekend (Feb. 16) to compete in the USC Indoor Open.
