SKILLMAN, N.J. - As Anderson University women's tennis' fall season came to a close last month, the doubles tandem of sophomore Rebecca Bruning and freshman Ivey Welborn have been ranked No. 22 in the country in the Preseason Intercollegiate Tennis Association Division II Doubles Teams rankings, announced by the ITA on Monday.
The duo headlined their fall season with three victories at the Southeast Regional Small College ITA/USTA Championships in late September in the Women's Open Doubles A bracket. After posting three straight victories, their tournament campaign was cut short by No. 5 seed Dora Andrejszki and Lena Lutzeier of Armstrong.
The pair and the rest of the Trojans get back onto the courts in
early February as the 2014 spring schedule will be released later
this month.
