ANDERSON, S.C. – Freshman Ava Skeffington (Charlotte, N.C.), sophomore Alicia Cannon (Tarzana, Fla.) and senior Kelly Coster (Poughquag, N.Y.) each tallied six points in the contest as the Anderson University (7-1, 4-0 SAC) women's lacrosse team continued their tear through the South Atlantic Conference, posting a 20-4 win over Lincoln Memorial (2-7, 1-2 SAC) on Wednesday, March 13.

Skeffington's six points came by way of five goals and one assist while Coster and Cannon were each able to turn in a pair of goals and four assists. Sophomore Sophia Santagata (North Port, Fla.) posted five goals on the night while four other Trojans were able to tally goals in the contest. Anderson rocketed out to a lead in the opening minutes, posting a pair of goals in the first five minutes of action. However, it was the later minutes of the first quarter where the Black and Gold would shine as they were able to add four more goals to their side of the scoreboard while holding the Railsplitters to just one to take the 6-1 lead out of the opening stanza.

Lincoln Memorial was able to score the first goal of the second period, but the Trojans were prepared with a response as they rattled off seven straight goals in the frame to take the 13-2 advantage into the halftime break.

The Trojans doubled up the Railsplitters in the third quarter as they were able to outscore them 4-2 in the period while holding them completely scoreless in the final 15 minutes of action and adding three more goals to secure their 20-4 win.

Anderson returns to action on Saturday, March 16 as they play host to Tusculum in league action. First draw is slated for 3:00 p.m.
