SUMTER, S.C. – Anderson women's tennis (12-7) win its final regular season contest, 7-0, over the USC Sumter Fire Ants on Wednesday afternoon at the Palmetto Tennis Center.
Anderson won the opening point with Gigi Sompayrac and Elena Ronconi grinded out a, 9-8 (3) match in the No. 1 slot while Mariam Bayatyan and Katie Robeson earn an, 8-0 victory.
Anderson won all four matches that were played in the singles portion with USC Sumter losing by default at the No. 5 and No. 6 spot.
The Trojans play Wingate tomorrow to begin its postseason play. First-serve at the Palmetto Tennis Center is set for 2 pm.
