• The Trojans were picked preseason No. 4 while currently in
fifth place in the SAC.

record while Mateo Rivas holds a 7-5 overall record this
season.
• In doubles action, Paul Michael Calhoun has earned an 8-4
overall record. Junior Nicolas Ascarrunz stands at 5-2.
• The Trojans are 6-1 when playing on their home courts.
ANDERSON WOMEN'S OVERVIEW
• In singles play, Rebecca Bruning has earned a 13-2 overall
record and was recently ranked No. 45 in the ITA National Singles
Rankings. Bruning is currently ranked No. 10 in the Southeast
Region.
• Freshman Jennifer Holcombe has posted a 9-6 overall record
while Alexandra Ebner has earned nine wins for the Black in Gold
in singles play.
• Ivey Welborn and Bruning are currently the ninth ranked
doubles tandem in the Southeast Region.
• Ebner holds an impressive 12-4 overall record in doubles
play while Abigail Gregory is one win away from recording 10
doubles victories.
CARSON-NEWMAN MEN'S OVERVIEW
• The Eagles are led by Dr. Jean Love who is in her 27th year
as head coach.
• Carson-Newman defeated North Greenville, 7-2, on
Wednesday.
• The Eagles were pick preseason No. 9 in the SAC.
• Jesus Barcete and Kevin Mendes have each posted an overall
6-5 record in singles play.
CARSON-NEWMAN WOMEN'S OVERVIEW
• The Eagles defeated North Greenville, 8-1, on Wedneday.
• Patricia Guerrieiro is a perfect 10-0 in singles play this
season.
• Carson-Newman teammates Jill Corsato and Brooke Sanderson
have won nine singles matches this year.
• Corsato and Sanderson are 5-1 as doubles partners for the
Eagles.
• Carson-Newman tied for the seventh spot in the SAC preseason
poll.
