ANDERSON, S.C. - After a five day break, the Anderson University women's tennis team returns to South Atlantic Conference play on Friday when it travels to Lenoir-Rhyne. First serve is set for 1 p.m. at Hickory High School.
The Trojans- Women
On the women's side, the Trojans are 8-6 overall and 4-2 in SAC
play.
Doubles partners No. 22 Rebecca Bruning and Ivey Welborn are 10-3 on the season while holding a 23-9 all-time record as a pairing. Junior Alexandra Ebner has played solid during the 2015-16 season posting a 10-4 doubles record, as well.
In the singles portion, Bruning holds a 11-2 overall record at the No. 2 spot while Ebner and freshman Jennifer Holcombe continue to play well posting eight wins each for the Black and Gold. Veteran Karen Faria is 7-3 overall despite battling a nagging wrist injury.
The Bears- Women
Lenoir-Rhyne (6-10, 1-6 SAC) returns to its home courts after a
five match road swing. The Bears went 1-5 during that stretch,
losing their latest match on Wednesday to SAC foe Carson-Newman,
8-1.
