Women’s Tennis Signs Delaney Wiggins for 2016-17

ANDERSON, S.C. - Anderson University women's tennis head coach Joey Eskridge has announced the signing of Delaney Wiggins for the 2016-17 season, announced on Tuesday.

"We're excited for Delaney to join the women's tennis program," Eskridge said. "She will be a great contribution to the Trojan family."

According to TennisRecruiting.net, the Acworth, Ga. native is a two-star recruit and the 25th best player in the state of Georgia. In addition to the state ranking, Wiggins was also slotted 137th in the Southeast Region and 534th nationally. Most recently, Wiggins took part in the Icy Hot United State Tennis Association Southern Level 2 Championships after she participated in the McDonald's Bulldog Junior Super Championships where she advanced to the Round-of-16.

The Trojans open the 2016 spring season this February at the brand new AU Tennis Complex. With the schedule pending, the first match at the Complex is scheduled for Feb. 2.
