Four Trojans Named to NCAA Southeast Region All-Tournament Team

GREENWOOD, S.C. – Anderson University women's basketball standouts Alexy Mollenhauer, Madison Baggett, Makayla Green, and Amari Grevious are among 25 players who have been named to the NCAA All-Southeast Region Tournament Team, as announced late Friday afternoon.

The foursome guided Anderson to a 26-5 record and the Trojans' second straight South Atlantic Conference regular-season title and fifth regular-season championship since joining the league for the 2010-11 season. AU was making its sixth consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance and the 14th overall appearance before the postseason was abruptly cut short.

Mollenhauer, who repeated as the D2CCA Southeast Region Player of the Year, averaged a double-double over the past two seasons and ranks third on the school's all-time scoring list with 1,949 career points. Earlier this month, the Lindale, Texas native was named SAC Player of the Year for the second consecutive season and rounded out her senior campaign by leading the conference in both scoring (19.7 ppg.) and rebounding (12.4 rpg.) She eclipsed the 1000-career rebound mark in mid-February, becoming the only AU player in history to reach the milestone.

Off the court, Mollenhauer earned CoSIDA Academic All-America® on multiple occasions.

Baggett, who claimed All-Southeast Region Tournament for the second consecutive year, owns the school record for career assists (506) and joined former standout Deanna Thompson (2001-2005) as the only two players in program history to post a pair of triple-doubles. A native of Huntsville, Ala., Baggett reached the 1,000-point milestone earlier this season and wrapped up her career 13th in the AU record books with 1,121 points. The versatile guard also stands seventh in program history with 713 career rebounds.

Green appeared in 98 games during her four-career with the Black and Gold, including 27 contests this season, while helping lead the Trojans to four NCAA Tournament appearances, four SAC Tournament appearances, a pair of regular-season conference championships and a conference tourney title. During her career, the Trojans averaged more than 24 victories a season.

Grevious saw action in 30 games this season and pulled down at least one rebound in 26 of those contests, while grabbing a career-nine boards against both Newberry and Coker. During her three-year career in the Electric City the Trojans posted 76 wins and suffered just 19 setbacks, including just eight over the past two seasons. The Orangeburg, S.C., native helped lead AU to a pair of regular-season SAC championships, a SAC tournament title and three NCAA tournament appearances.

Jessica Harris and Tabitha Dailey led Lander to a sweep of the Peach Belt Conference regular season and tournament championships, as well as the program's first No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament in 10 years. Harris ended her career as Lander's all-time leader in assists and steals, while Dailey topped the 1,000-point mark in her career and set a program record with four PBC Player of the Week awards in 2019-20.

Mia Long, Sydney Wilson, Kasey Johnson, Jasmine Williams, and Torry Patton helped Tusculum win the South Atlantic Conference Tournament hampionship. Long was a first-team All-SAC selection and led the league in steals for the second consecutive season. Wilson averaged 14.4 points per game and Johnson was an All-SAC honorable mention and scored in double-figures in 17 games. Williams notched a career-high 19 points in a win over Mars Hill in February, while Patton made 27 starts in her Pioneer career.

Caroline Tomey and Manuela Fungate led Belmont Abbey to a Conference Carolinas regular-season title and a top-10 national ranking. Tomey played in 26 games and scored a career-high 15 points on Senior Night, while Fungate netted a season-high 10 points in her final game in the Conference Carolinas semifinals.

Tori Griffin, Kayla Marosites, and Kelci Marosites helped guide Carson-Newman to a third consecutive berth in the NCAA Tournament. Griffin became the first four-year senior to win 20 games in each of her four seasons in 30 years, while Kayla Marosite became the Eagles' first CoSIDA Academic All-American in program history. Kelci Marosites started a career-high 14 games and posted the highest rebounds per game mark of her career.

Kelsie Towns, Taneria Wilson, Brittany Williams, Christal Williams, and Jhade Hayes took Clayton State back to the NCAA Tournament for the 14th time in 16 seasons. Towns finished with the second-highest scoring average on the Lakers, while Wilson was a second-team D2CCA All-Southeast region selection. Brittany Williams shot 48.9 percent from the floor in her senior campaign and Christal Williams made 15 starts for CSU. Jhade Hayes connected on 17 of her 29 three-point attempts for the season.

Jayla Morrow, Alexis Armstrong, Lynadia Whiting, and Schekinah Bimpa helped Limestone win the Conference Carolinas Tournament championship and punch a ticket to the NCAA tournament for the eighth time in nine years. Morrow appeared in all 31 games, while Armstrong averaged 12.5 points and 8.8 rebounds per game. Whiting opened the season with a career-high 18 points and Bimpa was named the 2020 Conference Carolinas Tournament's Most Outstanding Player.
