Mollenhauer Named to the 2020 DII Conference Commissioner’s Association (D2CCA) All-Southeast Region Women’s Basketball Team; Earns Region Player of the Year for Second Straight Season

ANDERSON, S.C – Anderson University women's basketball senior Alexy Mollenhauer has been named to the 2020 Division II Conference Commissioner's Association (D2CCA) All-Southeast Region Women's Basketball Team while being tabbed as the Region Player of the Year, advancing her to the national ballot.

Mollenhauer earned Region Player of the Year honors for the second straight season. The Lindale, Texas native has helped lead the Trojans to a 19-3 conference record, SAC regular season title and their sixth consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance and their 14th overall appearance. Mollenhauer earned SAC Player of the Year and All-Tournament, and this week was named to the CoSIDA Academic All-America® Division II Women's Basketball First Team.

Mollenhauer currently averages 19.7 points per game, 12.4 rebounds per game, 1.9 assists per game and 1.6 blocks per game. She broke the 1000-career rebound mark late this season, becoming the only AU player in history to achieve this milestone.

Anderson earned the No. 3 seed in the NCAA Southeast Regional and will face-off with the sixth-seeded Eagles from Carson-Newman on Friday. Tip-off is slated for 12 pm at host Lander's Finis Horne Arena.

Sports information directors from NCAA Division II Southeast Region schools and conferences selected the two D2CCA All-Southeast Region teams. The process concludes with All-America selections announced later in the month.
