ROCK HILL, S.C.– Anderson University women's basketball senior Alexy Mollenhauer was named The South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf Women's Basketball Player of the Week for game played Jan. 27-Feb.2 of the 2019-20 season.
Mollenhauer led the Trojans to a 2-0 record recording double-doubles in both contests with a 30 point and 10 rebound outing against Queens, followed by a career best 31 points and 14 rebounds at Carson-Newman.
The native of Lindale, Texas shot 20-of-42 from the floor, including 11-of-20 from behind the arc. Mollenhauer also recorded seven assists, seven blocked shots and three steals on the week. This is Mollenhauer's fourth Player of the Week honor of the season.
Anderson will host SAC opponent Newberry on Wednesday. Tip-off is slated for 5:30 p.m.
