ROCK HILL, S.C.– Anderson University women's basketball senior Alexy Mollenhauer was named The South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf Women's Basketball Player of the Week for the first week of the 2019-20 season.
Mollenhauer led the Trojans to a 2-0 record on the weekend recording a double-double with 24 points and 11 rebounds against Georgia College, while adding 24 points and nine rebounds versus Clayton State a day later. The native of Lindale, Texas, shot a blistering 83.3 percent from the floor (10-for-12), including 66.7 percent from three-point range, and went 2-for-2 from the free-throw line against Georgia College.
Anderson will host nonconference opponent Claflin on Wednesday. Tip-off is slated for 6 p.m.
