Trojans Win Fourth Straight with Solid Play Against University of Alabama Huntsville; 75-60

Anderson, S.C – No. 13 Anderson University women's basketball team enjoyed its fourth straight win with a solid team performance in a, 75-60, victory over nonconference opponent University of Alabama Huntsville on Saturday afternoon at the Abney Athletic Center.

With the win, the Black and Gold move to 4-0 overall, while the Chargers fall to 1-3 overall.

Senior Alexy Mollenhauer notched her third double-double in four games, scoring a game high 24 points matching her career high with 18 rebounds. Senior Madison Baggett nearly record her first double-double of the season, netting 11 points while chasing down eight rebounds. Freshman Makenzie Gadson scored a career best 10 points, while adding five rebounds on the afternoon.

Anderson led wire-to-wire for the second straight game, with its largest lead of 18 points coming, twice, late in the fourth period. Gadson hit a free throw with 2:37 to give the Black and Gold the lead at 72-54, while freshman J'Mya Cutter hit a free throw with 1:16 left extend the lead to 18 once again.

The Trojans dominated the boards, pulling down 59 to the Chargers 28, while committing just 13 turnovers. Anderson bench collectively scored 21 points and grabbed 14 rebounds.

"Great job by our team tonight," said head coach Jonathon Barbaree, "I thought we did a much better job of taking care of the ball against a tough team and I really thought our bench gave us a good lift tonight as well."

Anderson hits the roach for the first time this season when it heads to nonconference foe Lander. Tip-off is slated for 5:30 p.m. at Finis Horne Arena.
