ANDERSON, S.C. – The Anderson University women's track and field team had another great day at both the Buccaneer Invitational in Johnston City, Tennessee and the Camel City Invite in Winston-Salem, N.C. on Saturday (Feb. 5).

In the shot put at the Buccaneer Invitational, Regan Appleby finished fourth with a distance of 12.65m. Autumn Bladen took 17th in the 800m in a time of 2:32.35, while Lacey Boozer finished sixth in the 400m at 1:00.74.

At the Camel City Invite, Kamryn Osterbind led the Trojans with a sixth place finish in the 800m with a time of 2:17.69. Whitney Hanson was close behind at 2:18.39, as was Brianna Quartararo at 2:24.37. Lauren Childers (2:26.73) and Rebecca Ward (2:30.28) finished 24th and 27th respectively. In the mile run, Olivia Rish led the team at a pace of 5:10.82.

"Both teams performed great today," said coach Kevin Eagle. "We ended the busy weekend with 12 personal bests and one school record. The majority of the team will have the next two weeks off to focus on training as we prepare for our indoor conference championships. A small group will be flying to Michigan next week to chase some NCAA national qualifying times. As of right now, this has been the best indoor season in program history. The next month of training and racing will be exciting!"

The Trojans will be back in action next Friday (Feb. 11) as they travel to Allendale, Michigan for the GVSU Big Meet. Results can be found at www.autrojans.com.
