Distance Medley Relay Teams Impress at Camel City Invite

ANDERSON, S.C. – The Anderson University men's and women's track and field teams split up for two different meets on Friday (Feb. 4) at both the Camel City Invite in Winston-Salem, N.C. and the Buccaneer Invitational hosted by East Tennessee State University.

At the Camel City Invite, the Distance Medley Relay team featuring Whitney Hanson, Brianna Quartararo, Kamryn Osterbind, and Olivia Rish won the even by 13 seconds with a time of 12:11.03. The men's team finished second in a time of 10:21.32, a team that featured Thomas Sutcliffe, Ben Molitor, David Mahnke, and Spain Vaughan. In the 400m dash, Ben Molitor took fourth place (52.93) while Lauren Childers recorded a top-10 finish with a mark of 1:02.52.

Meanwhile at the Buccaneer Invitational, Katie Landry finished fourth in the pentathlon with 2833 points, with Lauren Pernell coming in seventh at 2751. In the 400m prelims, Lacey Boozer finished eighth in a time of 1:00.65.
