Men’s Golf Readies for Donald Ross Intercollegiate

ANDERSON, S.C. – The Anderson University men's golf team is readying for its second tournament of the its slate, with the Trojans set to compete at the Donald Ross Intercollegiate, which will be hosted by Lenoir-Rhyne at the Mimosa Hills Country Club, Monday and Tuesday in Morganton, N.C.

The 54-hole tournament (Par 70 - 6718 Yards) is scheduled for 36 holes on Monday, followed by a final round of 18 on Tuesday.

Among the schools that will join the Trojans at the two-day tournament are
Chowan, Emmanuel, Erskine, Fayetteville State, Glenville State, King, Lenoir-Rhyne, Mars Hill, Mount Olive, Pfeiffer, Sandhills Community College and Wingate.

After a one-year absence, the Trojans will be making their fourth appearance at the event after finishing as runners-up among 16 teams in 2019.

Then-freshman Reece Coleman paced the Black and Gold with a three-round, 4-under-par 206, while Anthony Sutton finished in a six-way tie for 18th and Caleb Henson shared 34th place two years ago.

The Trojans are coming off a 12th-place performance two weeks ago at the Camden Collegiate, with Coleman finishing in a tie for 21st place. Freshman Simon Wright finished in a tie for 39th place, with sophomore Calahan Keever earning a share of 49th place. Henson claimed a share of 58th place, with Sutton finishing in a tie for 69th place.
