Men’s Golf Claims Fourth Place at Full Moon BBQ Invitational

CALERA, Ala. – Anderson University sophomore Reece Coleman carded his best round of the season to lead the men's golf team to a fourth-place finish, Monday at Montevallo's Full Moon BBQ Invitational, which was hosted by the Falcons on a 6,745 yard, par-71 Timberline Golf Club layout.

Montevallo claimed the team title by 10 strokes over runner-up Young Harris, which moved up two spots from Sunday's opening round. Trevecca Nazarene slipped from second place and claimed third, with the Trojans just four strokes behind in fourth place. Christian Brothers moved up a pair of spots to claim a share of fifth place, alongside West Georgia, with Union claiming seventh place.

Trevecca Nazarene's Ryan Rozic (70-69=139) overcame a three-shot deficit following Sunday's opening round to claim individual medalist honors, while Montevallo's Landon Wockenfuss (71-69=140) finished second by just one stroke. First-round leader Paul Murphy (67-74=141) from Montevallo, finished in a tie for third place with AU's Coleman (71-70=141).

Senior Jake Miller finished in a tie for 17th, with freshman Calahan Keever trimming four strokes off his opening-round effort and claiming a share of 19th place. Sophomore Anthony Sutton and freshman Daniel Coker both finished in a tie for 24th.
