Men’s Golf Ranked 25th in Latest Bushnell Golfweek Coaches' Poll

ANDERSON, S.C. – The Anderson men's golf team continues to garner national attention, with the Trojans capturing the 25th spot in the most recent
Bushnell Golfweek NCAA Division II Coaches' Poll, which was released on Friday afternoon by the Golf Coaches of America Association.

Lynn University is the new No. 1 team in the country after receiving five first-place votes and bumping Lincoln Memorial from first to fifth in the second poll of the season. West Florida ranks second after earning 14 first-place votes, followed by third-ranked South Carolina Aiken who received three first-place votes of their own. Barry ranks fourth followed by LMU, which received one first-place vote to round out the top-five.

Georgia Southwestern State, Arkansas Tech, Saint Leo, Central Missouri, and Lee all earned a spot in the top-10.

Fellow South Atlantic Conference-members Carson-Newman (No. 22) and Newberry (No. 24) made their first appearances in the national poll.

In their latest tournament nearly three weeks ago, the Trojans finished eighth at Lander's Bearcat Classic behind freshman Calahan Keever's three-round, even-par 216.

Keever posted a 69 - his second-lowest round of the year of the year – on the final day and finished with a share of 17th place at the tourney. Senior Jake Miller, who carded his best three-round score of the year, finished a tie for 20th place on the strength of a season-best round of 70. Sophomore Reece Coleman finished in a tie for 44th in Greenwood, with sophomore Anthony Sutton taking home a share of 66th place. Sophomore Caleb Hinson tied for 80th place and freshman Daniel Coker claimed a share of 90th place.

The Trojans are slated to compete Monday and Tuesday at Lincoln Memorial's River Rumble in Lenoir City, Tenn.
