Anderson, S.C. -The Anderson College men's golf team shot a 297 in the final round to win an eight-team shootout and claim the 2004 CVAC Championship at the par-72, 6,800-yard Foxfire Golf and Country Club course.

The final round with Anderson clinging to a one-shot lead and seven teams within 12 shots. But Anderson put together another consistent round to claim its first-ever CVAC title. The Trojans extended their string of sub-300 rounds to four straight. The Trojans finished the tournament at 892, four shots ahead of second-place Queens (N.C.) and six shots ahead of Barton. The title was Anderson's first of the spring and its third of the 2003-04 season. Anderson placed three players in the top nine and four players in the top 15. In the final round, Brad Eskierka, Denton Moore, and Andrew Corley all shot 74, and Kyle Owings shot 75. The Trojans were consistent throughout the 54-hole event. Nine of Anderson's 15 rounds were 74 or better and the highest score posted by the team during the tournament was an 81.
