ANDERSON, S.C. – Anderson University track and field junior Kamryn Osterbind and men's golfer Reece Coleman have been named the Jimmy John's Female and Male Athletes of the Week.
Osterbind, a junior from Elkton, Md., set a school record at the Camel City Invitational last Saturday with her 800m time of 2:19.53. Her mark also ranks second in the South Atlantic Conference this season.
Coleman equaled a school record when he fired an 8-under 64 in the opening round of the Spring Kick-off intercollegiate on Monday, Feb. 15. The sophomore from Port Elizabeth, South Africa, went on to lead AU to a third-place finish after he carded a three-round, 7-under-par 209 for the tournament.
Each week, one male and one female student-athlete are honored as the Jimmy John's Athlete of the Week for his or her performance in competition, in the classroom, or in the community.
