ANDERSON, S.C. – Following a three-week break, the Anderson University men's golf team is set to wrap up the regular season by competing in Lincoln Memorial's Tennessee River Rumble, which will be hosted by the Railsplitters, Monday and Tuesday at the Wind River Golf Club in Louden, Tenn.

The nationally-ranked Trojans will be joined by No. 26 Barton, No. 36 Belmont Abbey, No. 23 Carson-Newman, Erskine, King, Lenoir-Rhyne, No. 4 Lincoln Memorial, Newberry, No. 16 North Georgia, North Greenville, Queens, Southern Wesleyan, Tusculum, Walters State, Wingate and No. 14 Young Harris for the two-day, 54-hole tournament on a 6,986 yard, par-72 layout.

AU has posted four top-10 finishes, including winning the Matt Dyas Invitational back in October, and has not finished lower than 12th during the 2020-21 season.

On the strength of freshman Calahan Keever's three-round, even-par 216, the Trojans are coming off an eighth-place finish three weeks ago at Lander's Bearcat Classic. Keever fired his second-lowest round of the year of the year (69) on the second day in Greenwood and finished with a share of 17th place. Senior Jake Miller, who carded his best three-round score of the year, claimed a tie for 20th place on the strength of a season-best round of 70 on the second day.

Sophomore Reece Coleman finished in a tie for 44th, with sophomore Anthony Sutton taking home a share of 66th place. Sophomore Caleb Hinson tied for 80th place and freshman Daniel Coker claimed a share of 90th place.

Coleman equaled a school record with a first-round 64 at the Spring Kick-off Intercollegiate in mid-February and paces the team with an unadjusted 72.00 stroke average through five tournaments. The sophomore from South Africa has recorded finishes of third place, fifth place and seventh place during the year. Keever is just behind with a 72.07 unadjusted stroke average, while notching a season-low 68 in the second round of the Matt Dyas Invitational. The Greenville native has posted five top-25 finishes and has not finished lower than 21st this year.

Sutton owns a 73.64 stroke average through 11 rounds and fired a season-low 69 in the second round of the Matt Dyas Invitational en route to winning the tournament. He followed up with a 24th-place finish two weeks later at the Full Moon BBQ Invitational in Alabama. Miller has a 73.79 stroke average through five tourneys and notched a season-best 70 in Greenwood. He has finished 17th twice and also owns a 20th-place finish and a 29th-place finish. Coker has a 75.14 stroke average and has posted a pair of top-25 finishes.
