TROJANS RAINED OUT, TRAVEL TO AIKEN INSTEAD

TROJANS RAINED OUT, TRAVEL TO AIKEN INSTEAD

ANDERSON, SC--Anderson University (16-18,5-9) head baseball coach Joe Miller announced Wednesday morning that he was able to work out a deal with USC Aiken (17-13,5-7) to play two games over the next two days--this comes on the heels of the Trojans cancelling a game originally scheduled at Brevard. The first game of the two day series is scheduled for tonight at 6pm in Aiken at Roberto Hernandez Stadium. The two programs will then play their originally scheduled contest at 6pm on Thursday, March 26. USC Aiken was originally scheduled to play Benedict on Tuesday, March 24, but Benedict let USC Aiken know just under an hour before gametime that they had transportation issues and would not be able to make it to Aiken for the game. Trying to give their players the most opportunity to play, USCA head coach, Kenny Thomas and coach Miller put their heads together and came up with way to hopefully prevent the weather and Benedict's transportation woes from keeping the players off the field. Most importantly, the Trojans and USCA were able to fill their regional schedules and not miss a beat. AU enters this contest on a season-high 8-game losing streak, and USCA has won 8 out of their last 10; but in a season where AU has already beaten #12 Tusculum and #35 Erskine, there is still hope in the Trojan dugout that a different streak will emerge. Follow the Trojans Live via the USCA webcast tonight at 6:00PM TROJANS @ USC-Aiken
