Anderson, S.C. - Freshman Kyle Williamson picked up the win in his first collegiate start. The right hander went seven complete innings, allowing only five hits and two earned runs. He struck out five and walked two. Brady Peele and Cory Welch combined to throw two perfect innings of relief to seal the victory for the Trojans. The Trojan pitchers only allowed two hits after the second inning. Offensively, the Trojans pounded out 11 runs on 14 hits. Josh Grubbs led the way, going 4-4 with a walk and a hit by pitch. Ryan Saxon and Brett Scarberry provided three hits apiece. Saxon also provided three RBI's. Matt Hill got in on the attack, providing three RBI's of his own. This moves the Trojans to 2-0 on the season. The Trojans will be back in action on Saturday when they visit UNC-Pembroke for a three game series.
