Boozer, Dotson, Rish, and Similton Set to Compete at Lee Last Chance Meet on Saturday

ANDERSON, S.C. – Olivia Rish, Lacey Boozer, Elliot Dotson, and Daniel Similton of the Anderson University men's and women's track and field teams are getting set for their final meet of the 2023 outdoor season as they are traveling to Lee University for the Lee Last Chance Meet in Cleveland, Tennessee. This marks the final meet of the season before the NCAA Outdoor National Championships (May 25-27) in Pueblo, Colorado.

Elliot Dotson has provisionally qualified for nationals in the 5,000m with a 13:57.18 time at the Virginia Challenge. He will seek to qualify in the 1,500m, as he will run that event on Saturday at the Lee Last Chance Meet. Daniel Similton will run the 3,000m steeple chase coming off a sixth place finish in the event at the SAC Outdoor Championships (9:29.77).

Olivia Rish will compete in the 800m and 1,500m for the Trojans. At the SAC Outdoor Championships, Rish took fourth in the 1,500m (4:40.18), and fifth in the 800m (2:19.76). Lacey Boozer will run both the 200m and 400m. Boozer finished fifth in the 400m (57.12) at the SAC Outdoor Championships, and most recently running the 200m at the Electric City Invitational (Apr. 15) when she came in 10th place with a time of 25.74 seconds.
