Track and Field Set for Raleigh Relays and Winthrop University Invitational

ANDERSON, S.C. – The Anderson University men's and women's track and field teams will be sending athletes to two meets this weekend in the Raleigh Relays and the Adidas Winthrop University Invitational.

Spain Vaughan and Elliot Dotson will be competing in the 10,000m at the Raleigh Relays at 9:25 PM tonight, while Olivia Rish and Whitney Hanson will br running the 800m on Saturday (Mar. 25) at 1:45 p.m.

"It is a big week for our program as the Raleigh Relays is the biggest track meet in the entire country this weekend," said coach Kevin Eagle. "We have big goals for these athletes today and tomorrow, so we're excited to get rolling."

The Trojans recently added the Winthrop University meet to the schedule, as they will be sending Brianna Quartararo, Lacey Boozer, Sarah Wimpee, Ben Molitor, and Grayson Smith to Rock Hill.

Lacey Boozer and Ben Molitor will run the 200m, while Brianna Quartararo will compete in the 800m. Grayson Smith and Sarah Wimpee will both do the shot put, discus, and hammer throw.

"We added this Winthrop meet to our schedule a little late, but the athletes going are looking to compete against some top caliber schools on a really fast track," said Eagle. "We are excited to see them progress from last week's home meet."
