HIGH POINT, N.C. – The Anderson University men's track and field team completed day one of the VertKlasse Meeting in High Point, N.C. on Friday (Mar. 31). Day one consisted of the distance events, with sprints, relays, and the 800m scheduled for Saturday (Apr.1). Freshman Elliot Dotson headlined the day for the Trojans by setting a new school record in the 1,500m with a time of 3:49.74.
"We had a good day one that consisted of only some field events and distance events," said coach Kevin Eagle. "We have a loaded day two with sprints, relays, along with our 800m group toeing the line tomorrow. With having good performances along with a school record on the men's side, we really could not have asked for a better start to the meet."
