Iglesias and Cantrell Named Jimmy John’s Athletes of the Week

ANDERSON, S.C. – Anderson University women's golf sophomore Zoey Iglesias and track & field freshman Dallas Cantrell have been named the Jimmy John's Athletes of the Week, for the week ending April 1.

Cantrell, a freshman from Spartanburg, S.C., broke the 110m hurdles school record with a time of 16.57 seconds last weekend at the High Point University VertKlasse Meet. During the indoor season, Cantrell set the 60m hurdles record on three different occasions, most recently at the SAC Indoor Championships in a time of 9.02.

Iglesias, a native of Port St. Lucie, Fla., matched her season-low – and the 12th-best 54-hole score in program history with an even-par 216 – to help lead the women's golf team to its third straight tournament victory and the Trojans' fifth championship of the year at Lander's Bearcat Classic.

Each week, one male and one female student-athlete are honored as the Jimmy John's Athlete of the Week for his or her performance in competition, in the classroom, or in the community.
