Women's Track and Field Completes Lee Invitational and Hub City Invitational

CLEVELAND, TN – The Anderson University women's track and field team finished their weekend meet in Cleveland, TN at the Flames Invitational, hosted by Lee University.

Kamryn Osterbind recorded a top-10 finish in the 800m with a mark of 2:18.52. Brianna Quartararo was not far behind at 2:22.60, meanwhile Rebecca Ward came in at 2:28.22. For the 10K, Elise Matthews finished 13th with a mark of 38:02.56, while Hannah Beach came in 16th (38:26.32). Emma Deadwyler came in 14th in the 100m with a mark of 25.16.

At the Hub City Invitational in Newberry, S.C., Emily Golden led the way for the Trojans by winning the 5000m with a time of 19:47.53. Regan Appleby finished in second place in the shot put finals with a distance of 12.76m. Katie Landry recorded a top-10 finish in the long jump with a distance of 4.83m. The 4x400m relay team of Landry, Lauren Pernell, Joeli Hayden, and Autumn Bladen came in fourth place at 51.28. 

Lauren Pernell continued the success for the Trojans by getting a top-five finish in the high jump with a distance of 1.52m. Lauren Childers (1:01.77) and Joeli Hayden (1:02.59) each recorded top-10 finishes in the 400m, while Leah Trusty had a top-five finish in the 1500m (5:08.24)

The Trojans will be back in action on Saturday (Apr. 24) for the South Atlantic Conference championships. The event will be hosted in Hickory, N.C. with live results available at www.autrojans.com.
