ROCK HILL, S.C. – On Tuesday (Feb. 9) the South Atlantic Conference named Anderson's Brianna Quartararo the Astroturf Women's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week for her performance at the CIU Rams Invitational.
Quartararo broke the school record in the 600m by running a time of 1:38.31. Brianna also placed second in the 400m race and was part of the winning 4x400m relay team.
"Brianna has worked extremely hard this semester not knowing if or when she would race next," said coach Kevin Eagle. "By taking advantage of the opportunity to compete this past weekend, this honor is well deserved!"
The Trojans were scheduled to compete in the LR Polar Bear Meet on Sunday (Feb. 14), but the meet has been cancelled due to weather. Next up on the schedule is the Camel City Invitational on Feb. 20 in Winston-Salem, N.C. (Qualifiers Only).
