Men's and Women's Track and Field Named to USTFCCCA All-Academic Teams

NEW ORLEANS, La. – The Anderson University men's and women's track and field teams have both been named to the U.S. Track & Field and Cross-Country Coaches Association's (USTFCCCA) list of NCAA Division II All-Academic Teams.

For the term, the women finished with a 3.64 cumulative GPA. Hannah Beach, Emily Golden, Katie Landry, Elise Matthews, Aubrey Stoddard, Leah Trusty, and Lydia Johnson all finished the term with a 4.0.

As a team, the men finished at a 3.32 GPA. Patrick Berlejung, Ben Clark, Ben Elson, Jonathan Timberlake, Hayden Tuten, and Brandon Wilson all finished the term with a 4.0.

"This is one of our program's goals to achieve every year," said coach Kevin Eagle. "I am proud of both teams that we were able to accomplish this during such a stressful year."

In order to be named to the All-Academic Team, each squad must meet the following criteria:

• The cumulative GPA (not 2020-21 academic year, not semester) for all student-athletes on the institution's NCAA Squad List for Indoor and/or Outdoor Track and Field must be 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale, certifiable by the institution's registrar. Institutions utilizing a different GPA scale must convert the GPA to a 4.0 scale using the standard conversion method [GPA/Scale x 4.0].
• Transfer students and/or graduate students are to include only grades earned at the current nominating institution.
• The cumulative GPA of all student-athletes on the institution's NCAA Squad List for Indoor and/or Outdoor Track and Field must be computed by the following method:
1. Total the cumulative number of semester hours or quarter hours earned for all student-athletes on the NCAA Squad List including the most recent grading period.
2. Total the cumulative number of quality points (GPA multiplied by the number of credit hours) earned by all student-athletes including the most recent grading period.
3. Divide the cumulative number of quality points earned by the cumulative number of semester or quarter hours earned.
