Emma Deadwyler Sets Two School Records at Gotta Run Invite

CENTRAL, S.C. – The Anderson University women's track and field team had a very successful day at the Gotta Run Invite on Saturday (Apr. 3) by setting multiple school records and personal bests.

Emma Deadwyler led the way for the Trojans by setting two new school records. Her 12.18 mark set the record in the 100m, and she set another record by winning the 200m with a time of 24.74. Katie Landry finished second in the javelin with a distance of 35.19m.

Olivia Rish won the 5000m (18:18.22) and placed fifth in the 1500m (5:07.73). Hannah Beach (18:24.16) in the 1500m, and Regan Appleby (12.91m) in shot put both earned second place finishes.

"It was a fantastic day for our team," said coach Kevin Eagle. "With less than one month to go until the SAC championships, we are looking to fine tune our fitness and get ready for the postseason."
