Five Women’s Soccer Players Earn Postseason All-SAC Honors

ROCK HILL, S.C. – The Anderson women's soccer team had five players named to the All-South Atlantic Conference team, as announced by the league today. Senior Jeanette Campbell headlined the All-SAC First Team for AU, while junior Emma Deadwyler earned Second Team honors. Senior Sarah Miller and freshmen Camryn Woods and Carly Keuffer garnered Third Team accolades.

Campbell earned All-SAC first team honors for her outstanding play between the posts. The native of Simpsonville, S.C., was named the Statistical Champion in save percentage (.911) after leading the SAC in that category. Campbell (10-3-4) finished the season third in saves (82) and second in Goals Against (8) and Goals Against Average (0.52) while earning seven shutouts over the course of the season.

Deadwyler was named to the second team after having a solid junior campaign. The native of Travelers Rest, S.C., scored seven goals and was credited with three assists on the season. Deadwyler played a vital role in the Trojans success this past season, as the offence looked to use her speed to make things happen around the goal. Deadwyler scored three game-winners on the season.

Woods had a tremendous freshman season, leading the team in goals (9) scored while ranking fourth overall in the SAC. The native of Bettendorf, Iowa was also credited with three saves, ranking fifth in total points (21) in the SAC.

Miller used her leadership and consistent play in the middle of the field to help lead the Trojans to its first 10-win season, since 2015. The native of Cincinnati, Ohio started all 18 games for the Black and Gold. During the final home contest, Miller recorded two defensive saves against top ranked Catawaba.

Keuffer had a stellar first year as a defender for the Trojans. The native of Mason, Ohio helped lead the Black and Gold to seven shutouts. Keuffer strong leg was used for corner kicks, goal kicks and most set-pieces, resulting in a team-high six assists.
