Trojans and Bearcats End In 0-0 Draw

GREENWOOD, S.C. – After 90 minutes of action, Anderson University women's soccer (4-1-2) and host Lander (2-1-3) end the match in a 0-0 draw on Wednesday evening at Van Taylor Stadium.

"Although I'm disappointed we weren't able to put away a few great opportunities early," said head coach Sarah Jacobs. "I'm proud of the defensive effort in the second half to maintain the shutout. We're looking forward to getting back into conference play this weekend."

The Bearcats took 16 shots on the evening with just three coming on goal, while Anderson took four shots with none coming on goal.

The Trojans won the corner kick advantage, 7-5, with Lander out fouling the Black and Gold, 9-6.

Senior keeper Jeanette Campbell (4-0-2) was credited with three saves on the night.

Anderson returns to conference play when it travels to Lincoln Memorial on Saturday. Kick-off is slated for 1:30 pm.
