Women’s Soccer Celebrates Seniors On Saturday Versus Coker

ANDERSON, S.C. – Anderson University women's soccer will host South Atlantic Conference opponent Coker on Saturday.

SENIOR RECOGNITION

From Piedmont, SC…. Jeanette Campbell
Jeanette has logged over 2500 minutes in goal for the Trojans recording 192 saves in her career.  This year she earned SAC preseason second team honors and has received SAC defensive player of the week twice this season.  Jeanette is majoring in political science and criminal justice and plans to attend law school after graduating.  She will miss the team atmosphere and friendships she has made at AU.
 
From Cincinatti, OH… Sarah Miller
Sarah has played in 46 games for the Trojans and serves at game day captain during her senior campaign.  She was recognized with SAC preseason third team honors this year.  Sarah will graduate with a degree in biology and plans to attend nursing school. Her favorite memory is the annual preseason Trojan War.  She will miss the team and Anderson sunsets.
 
From Fort Mill, SC… Zoe Newell
Zoe has appeared in 20 games for the Trojans and has been a constant source of positivity and encouragement throughout her time at AU.  Her favorite memory was scoring a goal against Southern Wesleyan University.  Zoe will miss playing the sport she has loved for 17 years with her best friends.  Zoe plans to begin her career as a registered nurse after graduating with her degree in nursing. 

From Cincinatti, OH… Spencer Heming
Spencer has started 32 of the 33 games she has played for the Trojans and has scored four goals.  Spencer has been a part of our leadership group since her sophomore year and an integral part of our backline.  Her favorite memory is scoring the game winning goal in her first game back from tearing her ACL.  Spencer plans to attend graduate school to become a physical therapist after graduating with her degree in kinesiology. 

From Waxhaw, NC… Haley Sanneman
Haley has scored 3 goals and registered 2 assists in 37 games for the Trojans while fighting through injuries much of her career.  Her favorite memory was her first game back after tearing both ACLs.  She will miss competing everyday.  Haley will graduate with a degree in business marketing and hopes to one day start an equine therapy program for special needs children.
 

From Amelia, OH… Kendall Simpson
Kendall has started 46 of 50 games for the Trojans scoring two goals and recording three assists.  She will graduate with a nursing degree and hopes to move to Tampa after graduating to become a nurse and enjoy the beach.  Her favorite memory is assisting the goal Spencer scored in her first game back from injury.  She will miss being with her best friends everyday. 

MAKE-A-WISH DAY

Please register online using this site for attendance at Make-A-Wish Weekend Friday & Saturday October 7-8, 2022  in order to get a discounted admission and snack/drink and Make-A-Wish give-a-ways upon entry to the games.  All proceeds from this fundraiser will go to the Make-A-Wish Foundation to support Anderson SAAC's fundraising efforts!

  • All attendees with both home and visiting teams and fans in general are asked to register in advance for admission at a suggested amount of $7 per person which is discounted from the price for admission the day of event.
  • Registering Online is Free for Anderson University Students and anyone who does not have the funding to be able to donate to the cause (Simply do not click on the additional donation button on the next screen).  
  • Everyone, however, is encouraged to donate to support Make-A-Wish and to attend events and help raise awareness for this great cause.  
  • Anyone not registered online for event, will be encouraged to purchase a ticket for admission the day of the game. ($10 Adults, $7 Seniors/Youth, Children 12 & Under & Anderson University Student ID Free). All funds still go to Make-A-Wish from day of ticket purchases.
