Trojans Drop South Atlantic Quarterfinal Match To Limestone; 2-0

Anderson, S.C. – Despite dropping its South Atlantic Conference quarterfinal match against Limestone (10-3-2), Anderson University women's soccer (10-4-4) enjoyed a solid season, winning 10 games for the first time since the 2015 season. The Saints scored two second half goals to advance to the SAC semifinals, winning for the second time this season on Spero Financial Field.

"We are disappointed in the result but proud of all this team accomplished this season," said head coach Sarah Jacobs. I'm thankful for the legacy this senior class is leaving behind and we'll look to build on this season for next year."

After a scoreless first half, Limestone was able to final break down the defense enough to score twice. The first goal hit the back of the net in the 56 minute of action while the dagger crossed the goal line in the 81st minute.

The Saints stingy defense held Anderson to just four total shots. Limestone was able to get off 25 shots for the match with nine coming on goal.

Senior keeper Jeanette Campbell recorded seven saves on the night, finishing the season with a (10-3-4) overall record.
