Trojans Remain Unbeaten In South Atlantic Conference Play With Win Over Lincoln Memorial; 3-0

HARROGATE, TENN. – Anderson University women's soccer (5-1-2, 2-0-1 SAC) remains unbeaten in South Atlantic Conference play, defeating Lincoln Memorial (1-5, 0-3  SAC), 3-0, on Saturday afternoon at LMU Soccer Field.

"It was a great team effort to get the win on the road today," said head coach Sarah Jacobs. "We executed the game plan well and got quality minutes from a lot of players."

Anderson's first half goal of the half proved to be the game-winner when freshman Camryn Woods found the back of the net to give the Trojans the, 1-0, advantage.

Just inside the start of the second half (48th minute), Woods scores her second goal of the game and sixth of the season after using a touch from Bethany Anderson. The Black and Gold capped off its scoring on the day when freshman Carly Keuffer scored off a pass from freshman Meggie Powell.

Lincoln Memorial outshot Anderson 16 - 11 with nine of the Railsplitters shots coming on goal and AU shooting on target six times. LMU also claimed the corner kick advantage, 5-2.

Senior Jeanette Campbell was credited with six saves in 70 minutes of action, while sophomore keeper Macy McDufford earned three saves in the final 20 minutes of play.

Anderson remains on the road when it travels to SAC foe Lenoir-Rhyne on Wednesday. Kick-off is slated for 5 pm.
