MOUNT OLIVE, N.C. -- Virginia Cates of Anderson University was named to the Conference Carolinas All-Conference soccer team Saturday afternoon. Cates, a junior forward from Fenton, Mich., was named to the third team. She played in all 18 matches for Anderson and led the Lady Trojans in points with 17. She scored seven goals and had three assists in 18 matches. Three of her goals were game-winning goals.
