Lady Trojans Fall To Pfeiffer

MISENHEIMER, N.C. -- Angela Reale scored two goals to lead Pfeiffer to a 5-0 win over visiting Anderson in a Conference Carolinas women's soccer match Tuesday afternoon. Pfeiffer led 3-0 at halftime and then scored two more goals in the first two minutes of the second half to take a commanding 5-0 lead. The Falcons improve to 7-6-2, 6-1-1, while Anderson drops to 6-5-1, 3-3-1. In the 22nd minute, Megan Blevins took a pass from Kirsten Bartsch 12 yards out. Her shot went under the Anderson goalie into the the goal. Angela Reale gave the Falcons a 2-0 lead in the 39th minute. She took the ball at the top of the box, cut past a defender, and ripped a shot into the top of the goal. With less than a minute to go in the half, Katie Franca put the Falcons in the lead 3-0. Niki Reis sent in a cross from the left side of goal and found Franca at the far post for the header. Pfeiffer scored in the first thirty seconds of the second half to take a 4-0 lead. Michelle Vaudreuil blasted in a shot from 20 yards out. Less than two minutes later, Reale got her second goal of the game. After a through pass from Vaudreuil, Reale beat the keeper.
