ANDERSON, S.C. -- Queens University of Charlotte scored two goals in each half on its way to a 4-0 victory over Anderson University in a Conference Carolinas match Thursday night at Smethers Field. Queens, 4-10-1 overall and 3-4-1 in Conference Carolinas, scored its first goal three minutes into the match on a breakaway by Tamara Diaz-Matosas off a pass from Erin Likins. The Royals increased their lead to 2-0 at the 33:54 mark when Hayley Pasko put her head on a pass from Kari Byzewski. Byzewski scored the third goal from five yards out after taking a pass from Likins. April Robertson capped the Queens scoring at 85:35. Sarni Striano played a ball into the box that was misplayed by the Anderson defense, and Robertson booted home the loose ball. Kristin Kornacki made four saves in the Queens net to earn the shutout.
