ANDERSON, S.C. -- Allie Wilkerson scored two goals and set up a third goal to lead Barton to a 3-0 victory over Anderson University in a Conference Carolinas match Saturday afternoon at Smethers Field. Wilkerson, a senior from Bowie, Md., opened the scoring at the 31:08 mark when she picked up a loose ball about 35 yards out and made a run down the left wing. Barton made it 2-0 at the 47:13 mark on a penalty kick by Jessica Galasso after Wilkerson was knocked down in the box. Wilkerson scored her second goal at 55:03 when she collected the ball out of a scramble and knocked it in. Barton outshot Anderson, 17-11. Barton starting goalkeeper Ashley Gregory made two saves before she was replaced in the 84th minute. The victory improves Barton to 6-5-4 overall and 6-2-2 in Conference Carolinas.
