Women’s Golf Set to Wrap up Regular Season at Tusculum’s Agnes McAmis Memorial

ANDERSON, S.C. - After finishing eighth nearly four weeks ago at the Hilton Head Lakes Invitational, the Anderson women's golf team is set to close out their regular season at the Agnes McAmis Memorial, which will be hosted by Tusculum at Link Hills Country Club in Greeneville, Tenn., on Monday and Tuesday.

Anderson finished 15th a year ago on the 5,804 yard, par 72 layout, with Garyt Hamilton finishing in a tie for 73rd, and Arista Setro sharing the 83rd spot.

Led by freshman Tiffany Elam, the Trojans finished eighth at the Pfeiffer Invitational in early March. Elam finished in a tie for 19th, with fellow freshman Makalyn Poole sharing 30th place. Sophomore Riley Lovorn tied for 36th place, with Setro claiming a share of the 54th spot. Freshman Blake Hodges finished in a tie for 56th.

Elam has posted the Trojans' low round of the season with a 74 on the first day at Hilton Head Lakes, while Poole and senior Braiden Furtick have each fired 75s on the season. Poole leads the Black and Gold with a 79.25 stroke average and won the AU Invitational and finished in a tie for seventh at Converse. Furtick has a pair of top-7 finishes during the campaign, including a tie for fifth at Converse.

Monday's first round is slated to get underway at 11 a.m., with the last groups teeing off at 1 p.m.
