Women’s Golf Adds Kate Hill

ANDERSON, S.C. - Anderson University head women's golf coach Danny Neal has announced that Clemson, S.C. native Kate Hill has signed a national letter of intent and will compete for the Trojans, beginning in the fall of 2016.

Hill was a five-time all-region honoree at D.W. Daniel High School and helped lead the Lady Lions to the 2015 South Carolina High School (SCHL) Class AAA All-Region I title last fall at Southern Oaks Golf Club. She was named the Region Player of the Year in 2013, while being named Region Co-Player of the Year in 2014 and earning all-state recognition in 2012.

She was on the winning team in the 2015 North/South All Star competition and was named to the Greenville News All-Upper State Team in 2015 and garnered the South Carolina High School Sports Report Award in 2013. Hill's 37.67 single-season scoring average stands as the lowest in school history, with her round of 32 equaling the lowest score in the school's record books.

Hill was named Team MVP in 2012, 2013 and 2014 and brought home top honors in the 2011 Hurricane Junior, the 2014 Cobbs Glen Junior Invitational and the 2015 Greenwood Invitational. She also claimed third place at the 2014-Lady Green Wave Tournament and was named to both the Lady Viking and Lady Hurricane All-Tournament teams in 2013.

She also captured the Fellowship of Christian Athletes Heart of a Champion Award in 2014.
