Barbaree's Leadership Helps Anderson Raise Over $14,000 Dollars For The Kay Yow Cancer Fund

Anderson University was recognized as the South Atlantic Conference Play4Kay Conference winner, announced by the league office on Wednesday afternoon.

Play4Kay is the Fund's largest fundraiser and events are hosted in all 50 states. Because of the nationwide support of participating Play4Kay teams, fans, and communities, the Kay Yow Cancer Fund has awarded over eight million dollars in the fight against ALL cancers affecting women.

Throughout the month of February, Anderson, led by head coach Jonathon Barbaree helped raise over $14, 000 dollars which is the highest amount ever raised by any SAC institution. Together the SAC members raised $34,000 dollars which is the largest total collectively raised by member institutions to date.

Barbaree is in his eighth season as head coach of the Trojans. He has led the Play4Kay incentive to record numbers each year. Anderson has also been recognized on the National level for its generosity and efforts towards the Kay Yow Cancer Fund.
