Women’s Basketball Releases 2023-2024 Schedule

ANDERSON, S.C. - Anderson University women's basketball head coach Jonathon Barbaree has released his 2023-24 schedule on Tuesday, which will begin the second week of November.

The 2022-23 edition of the Trojans closed the season with a 18-13 overall record, winning its last five contests, before falling in the South Atlantic Conference Tournament championship game to Lenoir-Rhyne.

The regular season for the Black and Gold begins on Nov. 10 when it travels to Morrow, Ga. for the Conference Challenge. Anderson will square off on Friday versus Flagler and then tip-off with host Clayton State on Saturday. The Trojans opened up last season with a loss to Peach Belt Conference member Clayton State, bouncing back the next day defeating PBC opponent Flagler.

Following a trip to Morrow, Ga., AU will step outside of DII competition and square off with University of Central Florida in an exhibition contest on Monday, November 13th.

Anderson plays a balanced home and away schedule with 14 games inside the friendly confines of the Abney Athletic Center and 14 on the road. The Trojans will also play one neutral game to open the season at the Conference Challenge.

The Black and Gold will play two, three-game homestands with their longest time away from the Abney Athletic Center beginning with a road contest at Lander on December 19th. Following Christmas break the Trojans continue their away play with road contests on January 6th, 10th and 13th. AU will end regular season play with back-to-back home games.

Moving away from the top-four seeds hosting the quarterfinal round of the South Atlantic Conference Tournament, the entire tournament will be hosted by and played at the Rock Hill Sports and Event Center, March 5th-8th.
