Wilson and Burgett Named Jimmy John’s Athletes Of The Week

ANDERSON, S.C. – Nelliah Wilson of the Anderson University women's basketball team and Mack Burgett of the men's basketball team have been selected as the Jimmy John's Athletes of the Week.

Wilson, a senior from Fairfax Station, Va., scored 21 points, including the eventual game-winning layup, and grabbed 12 rebounds in the home win over Wingate on Wednesday. She also blocked four shots and dished out three assists. Wilson then scored 18 points, ripped down 14 rebounds and blocked another four shots to defeat Emory & Henry and help the Trojans go 2-0 on the week. Wilson currently leads the league in rebounds per game (11.4) and ranks second in shooting percentage (58%).

A senior from Richmond, Va., Burgett averaged 16 points, seven rebounds and five assists on the week. His most impressive performance came in a win against Emory & Henry where he was able to rally 21 points and corral nine boards.
