ROCK HILL, S.C. – Anderson women's basketball forward Diamond McDowell has been named the South Atlantic Conference WePlayed Sports Women's Basketball Player of the Week for games played during week one of the 2023-34 season, the Conference announced today.
McDowell, a junior from Asheboro, N.C., averaged 21 points and nine rebounds while shooting 56.5% from the floor to help propel Anderson past Flagler and Clayton State. She also dished out seven assists and was credited with three steals and two blocked shots.
The Trojans play at University of Central Florida today. Tip-Off is slated for 6 pm.
