ANDERSON, S.C. – Zamiya Passmore of the Anderson University women's basketball team and Elliot Dotson of the men's indoor track and field team have been selected as the Jimmy John's Athletes of the Week.
Passmore, a senior from Locust Grove, Ga. averaged 16.5 points, 6.5 rebounds and 7.0 assists per game. On the road at Lincoln Memorial, Passmore was one rebound and one assist shy of a triple-double (20 points, 9 rebound, 9 assists). Her stellar play for the week helped the Trojans knock off top-ranked Lenoir-Rhyne and top-tier LMU.
Reigning South Atlantic Conference Freshman of the Year, Dotson finished third overall in the 800m elite race at the Camel City Invitational in Winston-Salem, N.C. With a time of 1:53.13, the Greenville, S.C. native's mark is the fastest in the SAC this year and ranks second all-time in program history.
