ANDERSON, S.C. – Anderson University women's soccer (7-6-2, 5-3-2 SAC) dropped its final regular season home contest versus South Atlantic Conference foe Wingate (6-6-3), 2-0, on Saturday evening at Spero Financial Field.

"Tough loss to a very good Wingate team," said head coach Sarah Jacobs. "I'm proud of the effort we gave, but we will need to execute going forward."

Wingate scored its first goal and eventual game-winner in the ninth minute of the first half to hand Anderson its final regular season home loss. The Bulldogs were able to tack on another goal in the 55th minute of the contest.

The Bulldogs outshot the Black and Gold 13(5) – 7(1) with WU taking eight corners kicks to Anderson's two.
